This recipe is perfect for those who want to get out of the traditional salad it contains: lettuce, tomato and onion. So this seafood recipe as well as different is healthy, fresh, delicious and easy to make.

Shrimp are a type of freshwater or saltwater crustaceans. They are also known as: shrimp, fussy, shearing or shrimp.

These are rich in minerals, such as: phosphorus, iron, calcium, as well as proteins and vitamins, and can be combined with both pasta and rice.

Ingredients cold shrimp, arugula and walnuts salad

For shrimp

  • 15 peeled shrimp
  • 1 pinch of ground pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt

For the salad

  • 1 bunch of arugula
  • 1 pair of lettuce leaves
  • 5 cherry tomatoes
  • 5 walnuts

For the vinaigrette

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 juice of one lemon
  • 1 stream of balsamic oil or vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds

Preparation of cold shrimp, arugula and walnuts salad

For shrimp

  1. Put a frying pan on the fire and add a splash of olive oil.
  2. Place the previously thawed shrimp in a container and add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Add the shrimp to the pan and sauté for 2 minutes or until they turn pink, they’ll be ready there. Book on a plate.

For the salad

  1. Wash the lettuce, drain it, pick it up a bit and put it in a container.
  2. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and add them to the previous preparation.
  3. Now add the previously sautéed shrimp.
  4. In a separate skillet and without oil toast the sesame seeds for 4 or 5 minutes. Reserve for the end
  5. Chop the walnuts a little with the knife and reserve.

For the vinaigrette

  1. Place oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste in a container. Remove all ingredients with a fork or spoon.
  2. Add this vinaigrette to the salad and mix very well.

For the employee

Place the previously seasoned salad on a plate. Then add the sesame seeds and walnuts as a decorative and crispy touch.

Additional tips

Skip the shrimp a little if you exceed the time it will change its texture.

Do not let the sesame seeds burn because that will bring bitterness to our salad.

To this salad we can also add a little cheese as an additional flavor.
